About This Blog

History
Fratelli Tutti started out in 2006 as British Catholic Blogs, and was comprised of just that. In the first ten years of the twenty-first century, blogging was in its prime and British Catholics were part of the scene. Everyone had links on their websites but as no one had anything like a comprehensive list of British Catholic bloggers I decided to create one.

The years passed. Blogging declined in popularity but plenty of Catholics were still writing. Every weekend, I would update the list of Saints' Days occurring in the coming week, and occasionally would add a new blog to the list. At the end of the year, I would go through the list to remove any blogs that had been deleted or not updated for a long period. Occasionally, I would tweak what is now the post on my Home page but that was it.

Two or three years ago, it finally occurred to me that I really ought to try and catch up with the social media world. There were Catholics making podcasts, YouTube videos, and on Tik Tok. Over the last few months, I finally got round to adding these categories. The expansion of the British Catholic Blogs scope meant that its name was no longer relevant. Thus, in April 2025, I changed it to Fratelli Tutti.

By the way, between the rise of blogging and Tik Tok et al, there was Twitter, now X. I have to admit that back in the 10s, when Twitter was at its most popular, it never actually occurred to me to include Twitter accounts. I might have done so now but X is so toxic, having deleted my own account in 2023, I would really rather not return to the app. For the moment, I am not including Threads, Bluesky etc partly for time reasons but also I'm not sure if they are worth investing time and effort in.

Before concluding this section of the post, I would like to commend to you the photography of Matea Gregg. She took the photograph used as Fratelli Tutti's header image (cropped to fit the page). You can find more of Gregg's work on the Unsplash website here.

Want To Be Listed?
While Fratelli Tutti is primarily a list of Catholic blogs, podcasters, and Tik Tok/YouTube accounts, I would be very happy to accept requests from anyone who has respect for the Pope and the Catholic Church. Whether or not you are a Catholic your platform doesn't need to be about religion. Drop me a line at mjmannBCB@gmail.com.

To the above, I would add that in respect of my Catholic faith, I am not a party man. I don't align myself to any one wing of the Catholic Church. I am traditional in some respects and progressive in others. I would like to include social media accounts by traditional Catholics, moderates and progressives alike. All three have a place in the Church and deserve to be represented.

I hope you enjoy your visit to this blog. May it lead you to places that are good, true, and beautiful. If you would like to drop me a line, I would love to hear from you.

Myself standing outside Santiago Cathedral
After starting British Catholic Blogs/Fratelli Tutti in 2006, the longest break I have ever taken from it was in April-May 2019 when I walked the Camino de Santiago. Here I am outside Santiago cathedral having reached the city on 17th May. A wonderful day!
