paragraph-by paragraph
As we saw at the weekend, Rerum Novarum by Pope Leo XIII was the main reason why Cardinal Robert Prevost chose Leo XIV as his regnal name following his election to the papacy last Thursday.
Given the 1891 encyclical's central importance to the Holy Father, I thought it would be a good idea if I not only read it for myself, but recorded my thoughts on the blog. Hopefully, the posts will inspire you to discover Leo XIV through Leo XIII's seminal work.
I am not a theologian so they won't be too deep. The paragraphs are quite short, so the posts should be as well. I'll try and keep them around the 500 words mark.
