St. Palatias and St. Laurentia

As sometimes happens, I found out yesterday that today is not only the feast day of a Roman slave named St. Laurentia but also of her mistress St. Palatias. In light of that, I have updated my Calendar of Saints on the Home page.

There isn't a great deal of information online about either woman but it appears that Laurentia converted Palatias to the Faith and that both were martyred during the reign of Diocletian.

Unfortunately for my Instagram page, I have not been able to find an image of St. Laurentia. This is a little gutting because I am trying to post an image of the saints who appear on the calendar every day and have managed to do so on each one since I started the IG account a week or two ago.

As it happens, there aren't many images of St. Palatias, either; I suspect that the one or two that I have found are because she was the mistress not the slave. With all that said, it seems that they either did or still do have a church named after them in Ancona, Italy (See Wikipedia here).
